The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation is composed of a working board of volunteer directors who fundraise and advocate for our library. Directors serve with thoughtful purpose and honor for the responsibilities entrusted to them by donors. The library serves a diverse community of needs and individuals, and it is the board’s mission to make each patron’s library visit meaningful and memorable.

Directors must reside in Downers Grove and support both the mission of the foundation as well as the Downers Grove Public Library’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Volunteer directors typically commit to serving a 3-year term, and should expect a time commitment of approximately 2-5 hours per month.
